About The Position
JRDN Restaurant is Tower23 Hotel's award-winning contemporary oceanfront steak and seafood restaurant. JRDN Restaurant is currently seeking Hosts to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume, up-market restaurant environment to continue the tradition of excellence and service for which JRDN is known. The host is the first and last impression of our guests' dining experience. This key individual plays an important role in the success of our busy operation.
Requirements
- Energetic, organized, dependable, helpful and not afraid to greet guests!
- Previous host experience preferred
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to hustle
- Valid San Diego Food Handler's Card or the ability to get one right after hire with company support
- Flexible availability - must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Greet and warmly welcome guests as they walk through the front door
- Escort guests to their assigned tables
- Provide guests with accurate estimated wait times
- Manage table rotations assigning balanced sections to servers so staff workload remains fair
- Assist guests making reservations in our reservations system
- Support the kitchen team wherever help is needed
- Perform additional restaurant tasks as assigned by management
