About The Position

Southern Hospitality Company, an entity of Southern Land Company, is headquartered in Nashville, TN is seeking a host to open our new Italian restaurant, Lupo Notte. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, in a fast-paced work environment. The Host greets the guests as soon as they walk through the door. Creates a welcome environment for guests, when appropriate refer to guests by their name. Manages the floor plan and ensure guests are seated in a timely manner.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience working in a restaurant.
Experienced Host.
Excellent multitasking ability.
Problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Strong leadership ability.
Organizational skills.
Customer service skills.
Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality industries.
Calm under pressure.
Able to maintain restraint in stressful situations.
Comfortable with hospitality and technology platforms.
Enthusiasm and lots of energy.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge Opentable.
Tennessee ABC Server Card (must be attained in first 90 days on property).

Responsibilities

Greet all guests by being attentive to them as soon as they walk through the door.
Creates a welcome environment for guests, when appropriate refer to guests by their names.
Say yes! Always try to find ways to accommodate a request.
Guides guests to their tables with menus.
Managers the floor plan and pay special attention to reservations and ensure they are seated in a timely manner.
Clean, organize, and stock menus at host area.
Answers phone and answer questions concerning the menu and the restaurant.
Observer the entire dining experience ensuring that every moment at the exceeds expectations.
