About The Position
Join the team at Currents Restaurant, where unforgettable meals begin with a warm welcome. We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and upbeat Host to be the first point of contact for guests dining at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort’s signature restaurant in Ucluelet, BC. This is more than a greeting role; our Hosts help set the tone for a memorable dining experience and keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Requirements
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Good grooming and hygiene habits to reflect our professional image
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Candidates must already hold a valid Canadian work permit or be eligible to work in Canada.
Nice To Haves
- Other languages an asset
- Previous experience in food & beverage or hospitality is an asset, but not required
Responsibilities
- Greeting and seating guests in a welcoming and timely manner
- Answering phones, responding to guest inquiries, and managing reservations
- Informing guests of daily specials and coordinating with the service team
- Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as needed
- Supporting cleanliness and organizational standards throughout the shift
- Following all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Supporting teammates and jumping in where needed to keep service running smoothly
