About The Position

Chesapeake's is looking for a Host to join their Gatlinburg location! This role is for our "Smiling People Greeters." The ideal candidate possesses great communication skills, is comfortable interacting with new people, and oversees the restaurant's layout, ensuring tables are cleared and reset. They will greet guests warmly, explain the seating system, and communicate volume levels to management and staff. There is also a "TO GO Host" aspect to this position, which is attained after successful Host duty execution or GM approval. This involves a pleasant phone voice, excellent menu knowledge, and servicing To Go guests, including taking orders, processing payments (handheld devices and cash), and assisting regular hosts as needed.

Requirements

• Must demonstrate good math and communication skills
• Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. frequently
• Position requires standing, bending, and walking the entire workday
• Works well in a group and under some stress
• Pleasant phone voice and etiquette
• Listens and takes direction both from Guests and Management
• Must have excellent menu knowledge
• Must be able to operate handheld payment devices and cash when necessary
• Be able to multi-task
