About The Position
The Host position is about ensuring the guest dining experience, as a whole, is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant. This role is responsible for taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, and thanking guests as they depart. The Host will also assign tables pre-shift, provide servers with appropriate chits, answer phones, and perform opening and closing side work such as cleaning, stocking, and setting up the host stand for the next shift.
Requirements
- Base pay of $2.13 per hour plus tips (~$20 to $24 per hour)
Responsibilities
- Take reservations
- Greet and seat guests
- Thank guests as they depart
- Assign tables pre-shift and provide servers with appropriate chits
- Answer phones throughout the shift and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Pull out chairs, seat guests, and provide menus
- Perform opening and closing side work, including cleaning, stocking, and setting up the host stand
