San Chez Bistro is a vibrant and bustling bistro that serves delectable breakfast/brunch during the day and transforms into a Spanish Tapas hotspot in the evening. As a Restaurant Host at San Chez Bistro, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. Your primary responsibility is to create a positive first impression by greeting and seating guests promptly, providing information about the restaurant, and assisting with any special requests. Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role or customer service position is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of reservation management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly smile, offer a warm welcome, and ensure they feel valued and comfortable as soon as they arrive.
  • Engage in friendly conversations with guests as they escort them to their tables, gathering valuable information that enables servers to personalize and enhance each guest's culinary journey.
  • Keep track of reservations and waitlists, making efficient seating arrangements to maximize table turnover.
  • Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu offerings, daily specials, and beverage options to answer guest questions and provide recommendations when requested.
  • Attend to guest inquiries and requests, including providing information on the restaurant's facilities, restrooms, and any available promotions.
  • Ensure the waiting area and host station are tidy and well-organized at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest transitions between seating and dining.
  • Assist in coordinating and setting up for special events, parties, or celebrations, if necessary.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, seeking assistance from management when needed.
  • Bid guests farewell and thank them for choosing San Chez Bistro, leaving a positive and lasting impression.
