About The Position
The Host is the first point of contact for restaurant guests and is responsible for making them feel welcome and seating them as quickly as possible. The company is seeking part-time and full-time Hosts with a growth mindset who want to start or expand a career in the restaurant industry. Hosts also support restaurant operations and fellow team members as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service, food service, or a related field.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to remain vigilant and attentive to customer needs.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Manage the waitlist and wait time.
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart.
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Answer phone calls and redirect inquiries.
- Assist with side work, including cleaning, stocking, and packaging to-go orders.
- Help fellow team members and other departments wherever needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
