Responsibilities

  • Stand and exert fast-paced mobility through the dining room for periods of up to 8 or more hours.
  • Speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
  • Carry silverware, dishes, and etc. up to 35lbs.
  • Speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Communicate effectively with guests.
  • Be enthusiastic and make guests feel appreciated through actions.
  • Select appropriate tables using the rotation system and considering special requests.
  • Escort guests to tables, providing menus and silverware, and wishing them a pleasant dining experience.
  • Point out point of sale as advertised on each table and inform guests of their server’s name.
  • Read the dining room for potential problems and attend to guest needs appropriately.
  • Manage a wait when necessary.
  • Work as a team with all personnel.
  • Consistently perform 20-minute restroom checks and customer counts, including open menu counts for the kitchen.
  • Treat all applicants as guests and inform a manager of their presence.
  • Maintain proper telephone etiquette and attend to callers' needs if authorized.
  • Inform management of large party accommodations.
  • Manage special seating requests consistent with table availability.
  • Assist with the duties of servers and server assistants as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by a manager.
