Responsibilities

Stand and exert fast-paced mobility through the dining room for periods of up to 8 or more hours.
Speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
Carry silverware, dishes, and etc. up to 35lbs.
Speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location.
Perform simple mathematical calculations.
Communicate effectively with guests.
Be enthusiastic and make guests feel appreciated through actions.
Select appropriate tables using the rotation system and considering special requests.
Escort guests to tables, providing menus and silverware, and wishing them a pleasant dining experience.
Point out point of sale as advertised on each table and inform guests of their server’s name.
Read the dining room for potential problems and attend to guest needs appropriately.
Manage a wait when necessary.
Work as a team with all personnel.
Consistently perform 20-minute restroom checks and customer counts, including open menu counts for the kitchen.
Treat all applicants as guests and inform a manager of their presence.
Maintain proper telephone etiquette and attend to callers' needs if authorized.
Inform management of large party accommodations.
Manage special seating requests consistent with table availability.
Assist with the duties of servers and server assistants as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency.
Perform other related duties as assigned by a manager.
