About The Position
The Host position is an hourly paid role responsible for creating a welcoming and organized environment for guests. Hosts are the first point of contact and play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires fast-paced service, excellent communication, and a passion for hospitality, aligning with the company's vision of being the leading purveyor of the spirit of hospitality.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests.)
- Basic reading skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Ability to organize and multi-task.
Responsibilities
- Checking in all employees and highlighting on the Open Table system.
- Answering the phone, taking reservations, and taking takeout orders.
- Ensuring menus are clean and organized.
- Greeting, checking in, and seating guests.
- Printing special chits from Open Table with special instructions and handing them off to servers upon their check-in.
- Reviewing all Open Table reservations and mapping out the plan for the shift.
- Utilizing Open Table to capture important guest information.
- Working with the manager on the floor to ensure proper wait times.
- Ensuring restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked, and organized.
- Interacting with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
