About The Position

The Club at The Dunes of Naples, a part of Troon, is seeking a driven individual for a part-time Host position. This role involves receiving and seating guests at the restaurant, ensuring friendly, attentive, and efficient service. While beginners are welcome, a few months of experience is preferred but not required. The team has implemented strong safety protocols to allow focus on customer experience, camaraderie, and dining room management.

Requirements

Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of point of sale (POS) system.
One year of experience required.
Must complete Alcohol Awareness Training.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with OpenTable is a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcomes each guest with a friendly greeting and escorts them to their assigned table.
Seats guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
Assigns opening and closing side duties and supervises side work; ensures completed setups of all stations before service staff departure.
Assists with side work and helps service staff with bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.
Maintains reservation book, takes incoming telephone calls, and notes reservations and special requests by guests.
Retains knowledge of all menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
Maintains standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.
Remains visible on the dining room floor and is easily accessible to guests, staff, and management.
Checks all tables before service to ensure proper settings.
Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
