About The Position
The Host / To Go Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the front of the house operations, and accurately preparing and expediting to-go orders. This role involves greeting guests, seating them appropriately, handling phone calls and to-go orders, managing menus, assisting with beverage service, resolving customer complaints, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness. Additionally, the role includes expediting dine-in orders, preparing drinks for waitstaff, and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities
- Suggesting new menu items from limited time offerings.
- Cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies.
- Proactively assisting other team members.
- Providing total guest satisfaction.
- Greeting and welcoming customers immediately upon arrival.
- Verifying the number in the party and determining special needs.
- Seating customers at appropriate tables/booths.
- Introducing feature of the day.
- Keeping the hostess area stocked and clean.
- Handling incoming telephone calls and taking to-go orders.
- Maintaining a proper supply of clean menus.
- Supplying customers with initial beverage suggestions and providing beverage orders and refills.
- Resolving complaints and notifying the manager of any received complaints.
- Collecting payment from customers and inquiring about food/service satisfaction.
- Handling customer complaints/suggestions appropriately.
- Bussing and cleaning guest tables in the dining room.
- Delivering trays of dirty dishware to the dish-room and stocking service areas.
- Packaging To-Go orders ensuring 100% accuracy with food, beverages, and accompaniments.
- Completing the sign-off process on all To-Go receipts.
- Expediting Dine-In orders ensuring 100% accuracy and proper positioning of food on service trays.
- Preparing drinks for waitstaff to improve Speed of Service and table turns.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
