About The Position

The Host Person – Cliff House is responsible for creating an exceptional first and last impression for guests dining in a refined golf club restaurant environment at Wynn Las Vegas. Nestled within the Wynn Golf Club, Cliff House combines elevated dining with the unique atmosphere of a luxury golf destination, serving resort guests, golf patrons, members, and VIP visitors. This position ensures a seamless arrival, seating, and departure experience through personalized hospitality, attentive guest engagement, and expert coordination of reservations and dining room flow. The Host Person serves as the central point of communication for guest relations, front-of-house operations, and service coordination while upholding Wynn's Forbes Five-Star standards and commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hospitality venue, private club, golf club, or upscale guest service environment preferred
  • Experience using reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms or similar) preferred
  • Experience serving discerning clientele, members, or VIP guests preferred
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
  • Exceptional guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • Professional demeanor with a polished and service-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of luxury dining service standards and golf club etiquette preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards and licenses

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, creating a welcoming atmosphere reflective of both luxury dining and golf club traditions
  • Provide personalized service by recognizing returning guests, golf members, VIP patrons, and special occasion celebrations whenever possible
  • Establish a refined and polished first impression that aligns with Wynn's luxury service standards
  • Assist guests with dining inquiries, course-related directions, and resort information as needed
  • Manage reservations, walk-in guests, and dining room seating with accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor table availability and dining room pacing to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Provide accurate wait times and maintain guest engagement during periods of high volume
  • Optimize seating arrangements while considering guest preferences, dining experience, and service flow
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in greeting, seating, menu presentation, and guest transitions throughout the dining experience
  • Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards through proactive, courteous, and personalized interactions
  • Foster an atmosphere that reflects the sophistication of Wynn Las Vegas and the relaxed elegance of the Wynn Golf Club
  • Serve as a liaison between guests, managers, servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and golf operations personnel
  • Communicate guest preferences, VIP status, member recognition, and special requests to appropriate team members
  • Maintain clear, continuous communication with front-of-house teams to support seamless service execution
  • Address guest questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism, discretion, and urgency
  • Support management in resolving guest service issues and executing service recovery initiatives
  • Ensure accessibility requests and customized dining arrangements are properly accommodated
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the host stand, entrance area, and guest waiting spaces
  • Ensure reservation systems, menus, guest materials, and seating charts remain accurate and current
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed regarding VIP guests, golf events, restaurant reservations, and daily operational priorities
  • Support efficient dining room operations while maintaining a luxury guest experience
  • Adhere to all Wynn grooming, appearance, and uniform standards
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Execute responsibilities in accordance with Wynn policies, departmental procedures, and service standards
  • Act as an ambassador of Wynn's luxury hospitality culture and Forbes Five-Star service philosophy
