The Host Person is responsible for welcoming, greeting, and seating guests, ensuring their needs are met while they wait. This role involves promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with co-workers and managers. The host will also answer phones, provide information, arrange bookings, and may assist with table resetting, opening tasks, handling guest complaints, and special requests. If assigned to coat check, they will receive and issue guest items. The role also includes assisting staff with service steps, being accessible to staff and guests for questions, and following service steps based on the training manual.
