Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- A Food Handler Card, along with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes, is a plus.
- Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred, ideally in a dining or senior living setting.
- Warm, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable engaging with older adults and accommodating various needs with patience and professionalism.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally assist with light lifting.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments to optimize service.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding seating flow.
- Assist residents with special seating requests or accommodations as needed.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the dining room entrance and host station.
- Answer resident questions about meal service and relay concerns or feedback to supervisors.
- Assist with organizing seating for special events or large groups.
- Provide support to the dining team during peak times, including assisting with resetting tables and performing light service tasks.
- Uphold the community’s standards for hospitality, dignity, and resident satisfaction.
