About The Position
TOPPER'S offers a la carte and prix fixe menus showcasing seasonally inspired cuisine with an emphasis on local produce and seafood. We are seeking a Host/Hostess for the upcoming 2026 season. Rated by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts, White Elephant Resorts is a collection of premier properties which includes White Elephant Nantucket, White Elephant Palm Beach, The Wauwinet, Jared Coffin House, The Cottages at Nantucket Boat Basin, Nantucket Boat Basin and White Elephant Aspen coming soon.
Responsibilities
- Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring Hotel standards of service.
- Assist in preparing the Restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room at all times
- Take reservations and maintain reservation book
- Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation
- Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensure designated amounts are available.
- Update menus and wine lists as changes occur
- Guide the Servers and Buspersons in table set-up needs to ensure optimum service to guests
- Communicate V.I.P. arrivals and special requests to designated personnel for follow up
- Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
- Ensure tables are cleaned and reset
