About The Position

The Host/Hostess will greet and escort guests to tables in the restaurant. This role involves answering the phone, taking reservations, and importing reservation data into the Open Table database. The Host/Hostess will also maintain communication between guests, management, and team members, and observe all safety procedures while working efficiently as a team.

Requirements

• Knowledge of restaurant operations, service equipment, and guest relations.
• Ability to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders, and similar written materials.
• Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests.
• Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner, including listening, demonstrating empathy, and providing proactive solutions.
• Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Full flexibility to accommodate varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the facility.
