This is a part-time position with an evening shift from 4pm to 8pm, including a weekend rotation. The role involves assembling room service cold foods, meal trays, transporting and serving room service trays, recording patient fluid and meal consumption when indicated, working in the dishroom, and performing other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills, including active listening and understanding written and verbal information, are essential. The ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions, work independently or with minimal supervision, and maintain accuracy and speed are also key requirements. The role requires the ability to identify potential problems, make timely decisions, and work effectively under pressure with distractions and an irregular schedule, including potential unscheduled overtime and unanticipated changes in work pace. Physical requirements include the ability to keep hands and arms steady, quickly grasp and manipulate objects, and estimate sizes, distances, and quantities.
