Café Host The Café Host takes reservations and escorts clients to their tables.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2-3 years previous hosting experience in a restaurant environment
- Parfaitement bilingue en français et en anglais
Responsibilities
- Greet clients graciously on phone or in person
- Escort clients to waiting area if table not immediately available
- Seat clients at appropriate tables and supply them with menus
- Advise on daily specials if appropriate
- Receive coats and or purchases for coat check
- Introduce clients to their server
- Manage table assignments based on seating guidelines
- Observe standard table turnover times
- Ensure tables are bussed and re-set for all clients- partnering with servers
- Ensure that café front desk is supplied appropriately
- Partner with service team to deliver the nine steps of “Serving the Holt Renfrew Way”
