About The Position

Nobu Miami Beach is seeking professional, hard-working, and multi-tasking individuals to join their Front of House team. As a fast-paced, high-end restaurant catering to VIP clientele, the ideal candidate must be able to follow direction, maintain a welcoming personality, and represent the restaurant with professionalism. This role requires commitment to guests, reliability to coworkers, and self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail. Effective oral and written communication, good time management, and appropriate speech and behavior are essential. The Restaurant Host/Hostess assists the Maitre D' and managers in coordinating dining room activities, ensuring exceptional and courteous guest service. A minimum of one year of experience in an upscale restaurant or a relevant hospitality qualification is preferred, along with good time management skills and professional presentation. Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Open Table, is required. Resumes with photos will not be considered.

Requirements

Minimum of one year experience in upscale restaurant or relevant qualification in the hospitality industry
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Manages guest reservations and greets and seats guests on arrival
Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service
Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas
Prepares deposits and maintains a cash management system
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
Maintains complete knowledge of the restaurant features, cuisine, general information and hours of operations
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company standards, policies and procedures
Ensures Open Table is managed in a professional manner
Reviews all reservations and communicates all special requests to managers, servers and kitchen to ensure prompt and courteous service
