Host/Hostess - The Carrington at Lincolnwood
About The Position
The Host/Hostess supervises wait staff in preparing the dining room for meals, serving residents and guests, and servicing the dining room after meals. The role supports made-to-order dining with fresh ingredients, fine china, and changing seasonal and regional menus. The position does not require late-night work. The Host/Hostess coordinates seating and initiates dining service by presenting menus and specials, answering questions, and offering suggestions while helping minimize backups at the restaurant entrance. The role also maintains the daily menu board, assists staff with delivering menu items, and ensures the dining room is cleaned, set up, and secured at the end of each workday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- First aid and CPR certified.
Responsibilities
