About The Position

Our Mission: To delight our guests and create lasting memories by transporting them to the heart of wine California Wine Country, through a dining experience that combines wines from Sonoma County and Napa Valley complemented with a chef-inspired, Northern California cuisine, served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Job Title: Hostess/Host Reports To: Restaurant Leadership Do you have a sense of genuine hospitality and a desire to make people happy? Then you should be a part of SoNapa Grille as a Hostess/Host, where your number one priority is to make our guests feel welcome and appreciated. Summary of Position: The Hostess/Host position is an integral part of the SoNapa Experience. As a Hostess/Host, you will welcome and warmly greet each guest in a manner that is true to our Mission.

Requirements

• Should be upbeat, positive and outgoing
• No previous restaurant experience necessary
• Must be willing to work on your feet for 4+ hours at a time
• Must be able to communicate clearly with our guests
• Must be well groomed at all times
• Must have a genuine sense of hospitality

Responsibilities

• Make a memorable first impression with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Open the front door for our guests, when possible.
• Make a genuine connection with our guests by engaging them in conversation when possible.
• Use the technology available to manage and coordinate the waitlist and seat Guests with a sense of urgency.
• Keep my area clean and organized.
• Use the guests name to make a personal connection.
• Walk guests to tables and a comfortable pace.
• Deliver menus with a smile and inform the guests of their servers name.
• Be aware of my surroundings and support guests needs, whatever they may be.
• Document and communicate special occasions with the Leadership team and the service team.
• Open the door for guests as they leave, when possible, while showing genuine gratitude for their patronage and a heartfelt invite to return.
