About The Position

The Fine Dining Host/Hostess is responsible for providing exceptional service at Dukes Steakhouse, ensuring a welcoming and professional dining environment that enhances the guest experience and fosters customer loyalty.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with all applicable health codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous fine dining experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of casino operations and environment preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of wine and wine service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, responsive, and professional guest service at all times.
  • Build positive rapport with guests while escorting them to their tables.
  • Accommodate guest seating requests whenever possible.
  • Manage seating rotations to ensure balanced service across all sections.
  • Promote and highlight current wine specials and promotions.
  • Communicate guest needs and special occasions, such as birthdays and anniversaries, to leadership.
  • Relay guest compliments, concerns, and feedback to management promptly.
  • Monitor the flow of business and adjust seating and staffing support as needed.
  • Take guest reservations and maintain accurate reservation records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
