About The Position
The Host/Hostess is responsible for maintaining proper attire as a representative of the hotel, upholding established service standards, and serving as a customer relations clerk. This role ensures an orderly flow of customer traffic within the restaurant. Key duties include greeting guests, escorting them to tables, presenting menus, answering the restaurant phone promptly and courteously, and receiving, entering, and confirming reservations.
Requirements
- Maintain proper attire as a representative of the hotel.
- Maintain established service standards.
- Serve as a customer relations clerk of the hotel.
- Maintain an orderly flow of customer traffic.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to taste or smell.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
