About The Position

Nobu Miami Beach Restaurant is seeking professional, hard-working, and multi-tasking individuals to join their Front of House team as Host/Hostesses. This is a fast-paced restaurant environment that caters exclusively to VIP clientele, requiring staff to maintain a welcoming personality, follow directions, and represent the restaurant professionally. The ideal candidate will be committed to guests, reliable to co-workers, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Effective communication, good time management, and professional demeanor are essential. The Host/Hostess will assist the Maitre' D and managers in coordinating dining room activities to ensure exceptional and courteous service. A minimum of one year of experience in an upscale restaurant or a relevant hospitality qualification is preferred, along with basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Open Table.

Requirements

Minimum of one year experience in upscale restaurant or relevant qualification in the hospitality industry
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Professional dress, speech, and behavior

Responsibilities

Manages guest reservations and greets and seats guests on arrival
Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service
Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas
Prepares deposits and maintains a cash management system
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
Maintains complete knowledge of the restaurant features, cuisine, general information and hours of operations
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company standards, policies and procedures
Ensures Open Table is managed in a professional manner
Reviews all reservations and communicates all special requests to managers, servers and kitchen to ensure prompt and courteous service
