About The Position

Marigold by Jean-Georges is a restaurant located at Keswick Hall, a luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres near the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Host is responsible for greeting and seating guests, coordinating reservations, and responding to inquiries in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Knowledgeable about the Hotel and its outlets as well as general information about the entire property and the local area.
Proficient reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Strong attention to detail.
Solid communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong commitment to service.
Ability to work a variety of shifts as will involve days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Strong interpersonal and team player skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize.
Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent).
0-2 years of food and beverage experience.
Non-Slip Shoes.

Responsibilities

Sincerely greet and interact with guests.
Create a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere for the enjoyment of our guests.
Assign tables and write server checks before service starts and be able to seat tables in a way that makes for a smooth service.
Be equally gracious with staff and guests.
Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance always in accordance with established dress codes.
Effectively handle complaints and communicate them through the proper channels.
Work with a "sense of urgency" including flipping tables and assisting servers.
Maintain the facility and services at the highest quality level for the enjoyment of the guests.
Maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
