About The Position
NOW HIRING: HOST/HOSTESS – ROUX Join the Team at Our New Restaurant in Summit! Roux, a new restaurant from 40North Restaurants / Villa Restaurant Group, is coming to Summit, NJ, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic Hosts/Hostesses to join our team! If you have a passion for hospitality, enjoy welcoming guests, and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment, we want to meet you! Come meet us in person at our Job Fair! Stop by during the job fair to learn more about opportunities at Roux and meet members of our team. Walk-ins are welcome!
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Manage guest seating and ensure an efficient flow of the dining area
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and guest inquiries
- Provide guests with menus and information about daily specials and promotions
- Assist guests with special requests and needs
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to provide a smooth dining experience
- Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed
