About The Position

The Wilderness Resort is seeking a hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, customer service driven individual to join their fast-paced team as a Host/Hostess. This role is responsible for greeting all guests with a warm welcome and a smile, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure. Employees have access to great benefits, amenity usage, and more. This is a part-time or full-time position requiring night and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Greeting all guests with a warm welcome and a smile.
Ensuring menus are clean, complete, and free of spots or stains.
Ensuring entry doors are clean, free of debris, and inviting.
Checking with phone reservationists or answering machine messages for all reservations.
Coordinating with management regarding large or private parties.
Checking with the kitchen regarding their status, including any delays or item shortages.
Planning the seating chart and organizing reservations.
Greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, and presenting menus.
Informing servers when guests have been seated.
Maintaining server counts for fair distribution of guests.
Communicating with servers and the kitchen to manage waitlists and maintain service quality.
Ensuring the dining room, entryway, bathrooms, and menus are kept clean throughout operations.
Maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and presentable work environment.
Saying goodbye and thanking all guests.
Checking with guests to ensure their experience was wonderful and addressing any issues with a manager.
