About The Position

The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, and informing them of specials. This role requires ensuring guest satisfaction by exceeding expectations, managing the waiting list, and running the floor plan. The Host/Hostess also observes tables for cleanliness and occupancy, cleans and stocks menus, and performs various side work duties. Additionally, they interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience, maintain restrooms, organize merchandise, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Reporting to required meetings and performing other duties as directed by management are also part of the role.

  • Must report to work when scheduled and on time with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and seats guest, presents menus to guest, and informs them of any specials.
  • Treats all guest in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guest’ expectations.
  • Takes names on a waiting list and quotes wait times to guest when tables are not immediately available.
  • Runs the floor plan board.
  • Observes tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
  • Cleans and wipe down tables.
  • Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at the host area.
  • Fulfills various side work projects to include but not limited to replace ketchups, cleaning windows, sweeping floors.
  • Interacts with guest as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
  • Maintains restrooms throughout the shift (refill paper towels and hand soap).
  • Folds t-shirts and organize merchandise.
  • Reports to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Maintains adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
  • Reports to required meetings.
