This position is an hourly role with tip share, offering a schedule that ensures team members are off by 3:30 pm daily, with no dinner shifts. Requirements
- A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
- Friendly and upbeat personality.
- Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves.
- Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to follow directions exactly as expected.
- Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
- Attention to detail.
- Mobility required during the entire shift.
- Ability to carry bus tubs full of dishes and miscellaneous items from tables throughout the restaurant.
- Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.
- Regularly required to navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests.
- Regularly required to move and grasp items up to five pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend and stoop.
- Must have adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with other host/hostesses, bussers, servers, bartenders, and management to ensure tables are updated in the seating system and readily available.
- Maintaining the seating system and waitlist.
- Answering the phone.
- Providing exceptional service for take-out orders.
- Pre-bussing tables when all dirty tables are clean.
- Bussing/cleaning tables inside the restaurant, on the patio, and helping clean the bar top as needed.
- Replacing sanitizer in spray bottles and buckets.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing work areas before, during, and after shifts.
- Assisting with stocking glassware, water bottles, plate ware, silverware, dishes, etc.
- Completing assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
- Completing the daily restaurant maintenance program.
