About The Position

The Manta PM Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming patrons, managing seating, ensuring quality service, and assisting with various restaurant operations. This role involves direct guest interaction, reservation management, and supporting the service staff to provide a seamless dining experience.

Requirements

Department of Health TB clearance
Must be able to read and write to perform job duties
Must be pleasant, friendly and smiling
Must be at least 18 years of age if serving or selling alcoholic beverages

Responsibilities

Welcome patrons and seat them at tables or in the lounge.
Ensure quality and rapidity of facilities and services.
Answer the phone and schedule dining reservations.
Direct waitstaff and service attendants to ensure courteous and rapid service.
Resolve or assist in resolving guest complaints.
Inspect dining room serving stations and equipment for cleanliness and orderly appearance.
Assist waitstaff and service attendants in expediting service to guests.
Assist the restaurant manager in overseeing the restaurant service staff.
Review daily work schedule and assign work stations.
Review occupancy report and reservations, VIPs, special requests or occasions.
Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant and seat them at the table, present menu and personalize the service.
Answer telephone promptly and take dining reservations, noting special requests or occasions.
Respond to guest requests or inquiries.
Be knowledgeable on restaurant menu items.
Consistently perform tasks as specified on sequence of service standards and SOPs.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and dining room.
Thank guests upon their departure, call valet if needed.
Recommend the resort’s restaurants and facilities to guests.
Maintain the cleanliness and adequate par levels of menus.
Assist waitstaff and service attendants in expediting service to guests or resetting tables.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
