Responsibilities
- Manage the Host and Hostess team.
- Welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting and escort guests to their assigned table.
- Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
- Maintain the reservations book, take incoming telephone calls, and note reservations and special requests by guests.
- Remain knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
- Be responsible for standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.
- Remain visible on the dining room floor, and be easily accessible to guests, staff, and management.
- Check all tables daily before service to ensure proper settings.
- Assist with side work and/or assisting service staff with bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
