About The Position

The Host Greeter is responsible for upholding departmental standards as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, practicing active listening and communication with managers and captains, and providing prompt follow-through. This role involves meeting and anticipating guest needs, maintaining fiscal responsibility by reducing waste and working safely, and proactively improving customer service scores. The Host Greeter will also be familiar with the Bernardus property, aware of groups and special events, and support safe work habits.

Requirements

• Previous experience in fine dining.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage.
• Ability to multi-task and handle high pressure situations.
• Personable and great people skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
• Must meet legal age requirements for the position.
• Must speak and communicate in English.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in fine dining atmosphere.
• Food Handler Certificate
• RBS certificate

Responsibilities

• Has full knowledge and understanding of the menus.
• Understands the operation of the Open Table system.
• Maintain communication with restaurant staff and guest requests.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
• Constantly monitors guest’s needs and responds promptly.
• Maintains presence on the floor.
• Respects co-workers and guests alike.
• Assists co-workers when necessary.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Familiar with Bernardus property.
• Aware of groups/ special events in house.
• Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
• Other duties and jobs may be assigned as needed by supervisor.
