About The Position

The Host/Hostess warmly welcomes guests to the restaurant and ensures fast, courteous service to create a pleasant dining experience and encourage repeat visits.

Requirements

Ability to greet guests promptly and courteously.
Skill in managing seating for optimal service efficiency.
Capability to support opening duties, including assigning stations and sharing specials.
Proficiency in handling take-out and room service orders.
Experience with suggestive selling techniques.
Accuracy in processing payments, including cash and charge procedures.
Ability to provide correct change and reconcile cash drawers.
Competence in completing opening and closing paperwork.
Skill in documenting voids on the balance sheet.
Willingness to assist with table clearing, cleaning, and resetting.
Ability to respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
Commitment to maintaining a polished and professional image.
Adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests promptly and courteously.
Manage seating to maintain an even distribution of tables among servers, optimizing service efficiency.
Support the Manager or Supervisor with opening duties, including assigning server stations and retrieving and sharing daily specials.
Handle take-out and room service orders, answering calls and using suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
Accurately process payments received from servers, following established cash and charge procedures.
Provide correct change, reconcile the cash drawer at the end of the shift, and complete all required opening and closing paperwork.
Accurately document any voids on the balance sheet.
Assist Buspersons with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as needed to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, ensuring all needs are met and following up to confirm satisfaction.
Maintain a polished and professional image through appropriate dress and grooming at all times.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and service standards to support smooth restaurant operations and uphold brand integrity.
