About The Position

The Host/ess creates a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth flow of service throughout the dining experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Welcome guests, manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure an efficient flow of service while creating a warm and inviting first impression. Introduce guests to the restaurant concept, menu offerings, and daily specials; escort guests to their tables and communicate dining preferences and special requests to the service team. Maintain an organized, clean, and guest-ready host stand, waiting area, menus, and reservation records in accordance with presentation standards. Accurately manage guest information, preferences, special occasions, and requests within reservation systems, utilizing guest profiles to deliver personalized and anticipatory service. Support restaurant operations during high-volume periods and special events, including assisting with table setup, breakdown, and maintenance of table décor and ambiance elements. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring a positive dining experience and high levels of guest satisfaction. And More!

Requirements

  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
  • Holidays and weekends availability is required.
  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
  • Hawaii Food Handler’s Card is required for this role
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
