As the Host/Cashier, you are the first point of contact for guests and play a vital role in shaping their dining experience. You set the tone with a warm welcome, manage seating and guest inquiries, and handle financial transactions accurately. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and guest-focused attitude help ensure efficient service and a smooth dining operation that aligns with company service standards.

Requirements

  • 6 months of experience in a full-service dining venue preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
  • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
  • Greet guests with a warm welcome and promptly escort them to their seats
  • Accurately manage assigned bank, obtain change as needed, and notify surveillance when transporting funds
  • Answer phones professionally, assist with guest inquiries, and handle complaints when Manager on Duty is unavailable
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, specials, and POS/manual transaction systems
  • Assist guests with information regarding hotel services, features, and local attractions
  • Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the entrance, tables, menus, and stations; report and correct deficiencies
  • Recognize and accommodate VIP arrivals and special requests
  • Provide friendly departing remarks and invite guests to return
  • Demonstrate sound judgment under pressure and strong organizational skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and company data
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
