About The Position

The Hospitality Support Team Member plays an essential role in keeping The Still Austin Quarter clean, organized, efficient, and guest-ready. This hands-on, cross-functional position supports both the guest experience and the behind-the-scenes operations that keep our hospitality business running smoothly. Team members in this role are cross-trained across multiple support functions and may work as a Busser, Dishwasher, Porter, Restroom Attendant, or general hospitality support team member depending on the needs of the business each shift. While many responsibilities happen behind the scenes, this role has a direct impact on the quality of every guest’s experience. The Hospitality Support Team Member takes ownership of the entire hospitality environment—not simply one assigned station—and works collaboratively with the broader team to maintain Still Austin’s standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and hospitality.

Requirements

Previous restaurant, bar, brewery, distillery, hospitality, event, janitorial, facilities, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with the ability to arrive prepared and ready to contribute to scheduled shifts.
Team-oriented approach with a willingness to step into different responsibilities and assist wherever needed.
Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize cleaning, stocking, organization, and operational needs.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and remain productive throughout a fast-paced shift.
Ability to transition between responsibilities as guest volume and business needs change.
Ability to follow sanitation, food safety, chemical-handling, workplace safety, and operating procedures.
Comfortable interacting with guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
Ability to work independently when appropriate while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to perform the full range of responsibilities associated with the position, including bussing, dishwashing, restroom cleaning, facility cleaning, stocking, and event support.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, private events, and special events.
Reliable weekend availability is highly valued and may be required based on business needs.
Must meet all applicable age and employment requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

Support the Guest Experience: Maintain clean, organized, welcoming guest spaces and interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
Maintain Venue Readiness: Ensure dining areas, bars, patios, restrooms, service areas, and shared spaces remain clean, stocked, safe, and ready for guests throughout operating hours.
Support Hospitality Operations: Assist bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, managers, and other hospitality team members with bussing, dishwashing, cleaning, restocking, setup, breakdown, and other operational needs.
Own Cleanliness Standards: Proactively monitor the venue and address cleanliness, organization, and restocking needs without waiting for direction.
Maintain Service Supplies: Keep glassware, ice, napkins, utensils, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other operational materials stocked and accessible.
Support Facility Operations: Assist with trash and recycling removal, general cleaning, supply movement, and maintaining entrances, walkways, patios, employee areas, and other shared spaces.
Support Events: Assist with setup, reset, and breakdown of tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, and service areas for regular operations, private events, and special events.
Promote a Safe Environment: Follow sanitation, chemical-handling, food safety, and workplace safety procedures and promptly communicate spills, hazards, equipment concerns, maintenance needs, or facility issues to management.
Work Cross-Functionally: Transition between responsibilities throughout the shift based on guest volume and operational priorities, recognizing that great hospitality is a shared responsibility across the entire team.
Guest & Dining Room Support: Clear used glassware, dishes, utensils, and other service items from tables and guest areas. Clean, sanitize, and reset tables quickly and thoroughly for incoming guests. Maintain clean and organized dining, bar, patio, and common areas throughout service. Refill service stations, ice, glassware, napkins, utensils, and other supplies. Assist bartenders, hosts, and other hospitality team members during service as needed. Monitor guest-facing spaces and proactively address items requiring cleaning, restocking, or resetting. Respond to guests in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner.
Dishwashing & Back-of-House Support: Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and service equipment according to established procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dishwashing area. Sort and return clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment to designated storage and service locations. Remove trash, recycling, cardboard, and other waste throughout the shift. Clean floors, mats, drains, work surfaces, equipment, and back-of-house areas. Restock kitchen and hospitality supplies as needed to maintain efficient service. Follow established sanitation, chemical-handling, and safety procedures.
Porter & Facility Support: Maintain cleanliness throughout guest-facing, service, and employee areas. Sweep, mop, wipe down, clean, and sanitize assigned and shared areas throughout the shift. Remove trash and recycling and replace liners as needed. Monitor entrances, walkways, patios, common areas, and other high-traffic spaces for cleanliness and safety. Assist with moving, stocking, and organizing supplies and equipment. Move and arrange tables, chairs, service equipment, and other materials as needed. Support venue and event setup, reset, and breakdown. Promptly communicate spills, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or other facility issues to management.
Restroom Support: Regularly inspect guest restrooms throughout operating hours and address cleanliness needs promptly and discreetly. Clean and sanitize counters, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, toilets, floors, and other restroom surfaces. Restock soap, paper products, and other restroom supplies. Remove trash and maintain a clean, fresh, stocked, and polished appearance. Promptly report plumbing, maintenance, damage, or supply issues to management. Follow established sanitation and cleaning procedures when performing restroom-related tasks.
