About The Position

The Hospitality Associate Leader functions in the Hospitality Associate role and also assists with scheduling, coverage, problem-solving, and training. This role directs traffic flow and provides assistance at the hospital entrances. They help with wheelchairs and scooters as needed, along with way-finding and assistance to the patient/family's destination.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Leadership and superior interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Must be able to push a patient/guest in a wheelchair

Nice To Haves

  • College degree
  • BLS, AHA or ARC

Responsibilities

  • Assist Supervisor / Manager with team scheduling and coverage.
  • Participate in hiring interviews as needed.
  • Support problem solving and giving direction to the team when Supervisor/Manager is not present.
  • Train all new Entrance Team members.
  • Present an excellent first impression to all customers by greeting promptly with a warm and friendly reception.
  • Provide Hospital way-finding for patients and visitors.
  • Support patient, family, guest information needs, including appropriate hospital resources to assist in problem resolution.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy entrance space, inside and outside the door.
  • Maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times, following specific standards as defined in the department professionalism policy.
  • Perform Service Recovery and conflict resolution for unhappy guests.
  • Work with Service Excellence to support positive outcomes and resolution to customer needs.
  • Assist patients and families in and out of their vehicles as needed at the hospital entrances.
  • Assist with Lost and Found services as needed.
  • Maintain proper traffic controls at entrances to avoid congestion and prohibit illegal parking.
  • Work with the Security & Valet teams as needed.
  • Assist with cab, bus vouchers and other transportation as needed.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, culture and developmental needs.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
