SUMMARY Reporting to the VP, Hospitality & Contract, the Hospitality Design Liaison is a design-driven sales consultant who thrives working on complex, highly technical hospitality design projects. An ideal candidate will blend the passion of design with technical prowess to leverage American Leather's (AL) Contract’s custom upholstery capabilities in the hospitality sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: Interior Design, Merchandising, or Marketing.
  • Proficient in Revit and other space-planning interior design tools.
  • Interest in design trends that are driving the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Build confidence at the design level, servicing the needs of commercial ID firms designing custom upholstery packages for hospitality spaces.
  • Function as liaison between AL Contract reps and strategic ID partners on key hospitality design projects.
  • Nurture projects from the design phase to prototype completion of the alpha model room through beta production rollout.
  • Exude technical proficiency of AL Contract upholstery and patented sleeper sofas to assist commercial designers in writing specifications.
  • Understanding American Lathers Contract’s production and fabrication process to ensure design intent is met on every custom project.
  • Work cohesively with the AL Contract support team, specifically the business operations manager, to ensure timely project quotes.
  • Align with AL merchandising and marketing teams for creating and maintaining effective design tools, sales collateral, and trade events.
  • As required, perform CEU training courses for the interior design community.
