About The Position

The Hospitality Assistant is responsible for delivering and retrieving patient meal trays, providing individualized assistance to each patient, Hospitality Rounds and nourishment services At our Care Centers, we are committed to empowering residents to reach their highest level of independence and well-being, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the comfort of their own homes whenever possible. Cumberland Health and Rehab is a 100-bed short-term and long-term care facility located in Bridgeport, Alabama. Highlands Health and Rehab is a 50-bed short-term rehab and long-term care facility located adjacent to Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, Alabama. In addition to Highlands Medical Center, the system provides many services through owned-entities across the community - Highlands Family Medicine, Highlands Home Health, Highlands Occupational Medicine, Highlands Surgical Services, Jackson County Family Medicine, Scottsboro OB-GYN, Highlands Pediatrics, and Highlands Health & Rehab and Cumberland Health & Rehab, two rehabilitation and long-term care nursing homes. With over 720 employees, HMC is one of the largest employers in Jackson County.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Minimum of two years in food service required with health care experience preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills required
Must be knowledgeable of and able to follow the standards of federal, state and regulatory agencies and JCAHO for sanitation, food preparation and handling
Must be able to properly identify patients and maintain confidentiality
