About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Hospitalist for their practice in Indianapolis, IN. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with a focus on work-life balance. Physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. The group provides physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship, equipping physicians with the knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence. Physicians are W2 employees and earn, on average, $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. The practice involves delivering modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings such as Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility. The role is mobile, with physicians visiting facilities within a 40-60 mile radius, seeing 2-3 facilities and 20-30 patients per day. Clinical documentation is done in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
  • Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
  • Visit 2-3 facilities per day.
  • Treat approximately 20-30 patients per day.
  • Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
