About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens Hospitalist position in Shiprock, New Mexico, at a hospital with approximately 55 inpatient beds, including a 5-bed ICU. The role involves 100% direct patient care in an inpatient setting, covering the full age spectrum. The clinical schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, with a 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. Admissions and rounding are included. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available. This is a clinical-only role with the potential for a long-term contract.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted license in any State or U.S. territory
- Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or American Board of Family Practice
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NPI number
- DEA License
- Minimum of 3 years of physician experience
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient Hospitalist experience
- Recent inpatient and ICU experience
Responsibilities
- Provide 100% direct patient care.
- Admit patients.
- Round on patients.
- Provide inpatient care, including in the ICU.
- Work 12-hour shifts.
