About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Hospitalist for their Austin, TX location. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, and utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. We provide physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship, giving you all the knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence. W2 physicians earn, on average, $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week. Part-time opportunities are available. The practice involves delivering modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting, specifically in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility. This is a mobile practice where physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day within a 40-60 mile radius, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is performed at the point of care in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
