About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Hospitalist for their Jackson, TN location. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. The role involves providing bedside wound care in post-acute care settings such as Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians will conduct weekly wound rounds, visiting 2-3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20-30 patients daily within a 40-60 mile radius. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position includes paid training during onboarding and a 6-month wound care fellowship, with opportunities to learn from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors. This is a W2 employment contract with no work visa sponsorship available.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
