About The Position

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Hospitalist to join their well-established, shift-based program. This is a full-time, permanent position with a block schedule of 7 on/7 off, and no call required. The program utilizes a 30-physician model to provide 24-hour coverage, supported by advanced practitioners and excellent specialty/sub-specialty care. The average daily encounter goal is 15-17. Optional opportunities for procedures and critical care coverage are available. The medical center is a 393-bed tertiary center, part of a 125+ employed physician group, and is a financially stable, faith-based organization. It serves a 23-county region and is a Level 2 trauma center with Centers of Excellence in Cardiac, Neuroscience, Cancer, and Orthopedics.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or IM/Peds background

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist services within a shift-based program.
• Manage patient care with an average daily encounter goal of 15-17.
• Participate in a 30-physician model providing 24-hour coverage.
• Optionally engage in procedures and critical care coverage.
• Collaborate with advanced practitioners and specialty/sub-specialty teams.
