About The Position

Innovative Medical Solutions, in partnership with Mission Community Hospital, a 145-bed acute care facility in the San Fernando Valley, is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospitalist to join our team at Mission Community Hospital. This full-time position operates on a 7 on / 7 off schedule, providing an excellent work-life balance. The Hospitalist will deliver comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Valid California medical license or eligibility to obtain one prior to starting.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage complex patient cases and make sound clinical decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Hospitalist or in a similar acute care setting.
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans.
Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and effective patient care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, hospital committees, and infection control efforts to enhance patient care and safety.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Provide mentorship and guidance to medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers as needed.
