About The Position

This Hospitalist position with National Wound Physician Group focuses on wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians provide bedside wound care, conduct weekly rounds, and utilize cutting-edge technologies. The role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians receive comprehensive training, including a wound fellowship, to become experts in wound care. The practice is mobile, covering a 40-60 mile radius and visiting 2-3 facilities per day to treat approximately 20-30 patients. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in wound management.
  • Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
  • Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
  • Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
  • Conduct clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
