About The Position
Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine hospitalist physician needed for premier group in Northeastern Indiana. This is a great opportunity to walk into a very busy setting with a team approach to patient care. No procedures other than central lines and intubations are necessary as intensivists are on hand. The hospital is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility with over 450 beds, featuring specialty centers for heart, cancer, and orthopedics, a helipad, a full-service ER, and level II adult and pediatric trauma centers. The community is a large metro area in northeastern Indiana with a population of over 250,000 and a service area of 820,000+. It offers numerous attractions, including a zoo, arts and entertainment, outdoor recreational activities, and theaters. It is located 2 hours from Toledo, OH, and 3 hours from Detroit, MI. Indiana is described as a physician-friendly state, ranking among the top 10 places to practice medicine due to its low malpractice rates, low income tax, low cost of living, excellent school systems, great teaching institutions, and strong practices and groups.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine hospitalist physician.
- Must be Board Certified within 5 years of becoming Board Eligible if Board Eligible.
- Physician only.
- No visa waivers can be accommodated.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospitalist physician services.
- Perform central lines and intubations as needed.
- Collaborate with intensivists and the care team.
