About The Position

Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our Hospitalist team in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. This opportunity involves joining an established Hospitalist program with a dedicated Nocturnist team. The role includes a daytime schedule with specific onsite and phone availability hours, a 7 on 7 off rotation, and sick days allotted from day one. The physician will cover a 12-bed open ICU with support from an Intensivist team, and will not be required to perform procedures. Responsibilities include nursing floor-based rounding and running all codes. The position also provides coverage for a regional location near Bloomington-Normal and offers the potential for research and/or academic affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. The work environment is a modern, state-of-the-art facility at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, a 200-bed hospital with DNV-Certified Primary Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center designations. Excellent consulting service support is available. Please note, this position does not qualify for a J1 waiver.
