About The Position

We’re seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join our dynamic team providing high‑quality, patient-centered inpatient care. You’ll be part of a collaborative group managing adult medical patients in a well‑supported hospital setting. Deliver full-spectrum care in a state-of-the-art facility including 24 inpatient rooms and 2 ICU rooms. Work alongside a 5-provider group supported by: On-site specialists including Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Podiatry, and Urology E-ICU services available Experienced advanced practice providers staffed daily Highly skilled RNs with ACLS, and PALS certification Manage approximately 12-15 patients daily. Participate in a robust quality program dedicated to continuous improvement and excellent outcomes Adult inpatient care age 15+, Pediatric patients are supported by Family Medicine providers Join a thriving, independent, municipal health system with a long-standing commitment to serving Brookings and the surrounding region. Requirements

  • MD or DO, licensed (or eligible) in South Dakota
  • Board-certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
  • DEA certification (state and federal)
  • CPR and ACLS certifications are required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver full-spectrum care in a state-of-the-art facility including 24 inpatient rooms and 2 ICU rooms.
  • Manage approximately 12-15 patients daily.
