About The Position
Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. We are currently seeking a full-time physician to join our team at Reception and Medical Center (hospital setting) located in Lake Butler, Florida. This facility has 80-90 beds on the inpatient unit. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted FL MD/DO license or ability to obtain one required
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assessments and evaluations.
- Provides treatment for chronic medical conditions.
- Participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases.
